4worldlovers: Our soft furnishings are handmade using hand dyed linens. We use a heavy unbleached linen fabric and dye it up to our clients’ colour specifications. By hand dying the cloth ourselves we achieve rich and varied tones and effects. Our beaders have been beading for over a decade and their work is intricate and precise. The embroidery is done by our Ghanaian embroiderer using an old, traditional, hand operated sewing machine. He builds up the design one row at a time ensuring each piece is unique. We also do hand embroidered motifs on our cushions and throws using thick cotton yarn. This gives a contemporary edge to an age-old traditional craft.

We create one off designs for our loyal clientele who use us time and again for their special projects. They bring their mood boards and swatches to the studio and together we create bespoke pieces especially for them. We love the collaborative aspect of our work because we are constantly producing new and exciting soft furnishings that no one has ever seen before. This is our greatest pleasure.

Our products are luxurious in that they are handmade and unique. They are also relaxed as we favour a soft unstructured look. Torn edges and outside seams are our trademark although some clients choose more traditional finishes and sharper edges. It is important to us that they fit perfectly into their new homes.
