Sparks Estate is always neat and tidy and fully compliant with the Department of Health. God Bless this Home for everything they do to make my child’s stay a comfortable one.”

I’ve been a volunteer at Cheshire Home Summerstrand for 23 years; involved in many aspects such as cooking, hairdressing, working in the shops, fetes, events, gardening and administration. It’s a privilege and honour to offer my time to an organisation actively creating awareness and raising funds to provide high standards of care. I’ve been at Cheshire for 8 years; a private carer on some mornings helps me with my specific needs. I love the friends I’ve made here; we’re all in the same boat. There are lots of activities such as golf, arts and crafts, Bible study and games, and the shops are open daily. Sometimes we go to the beach for ice creams and other times buy meat and have a braai together. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we have a good variety of food. My dad says I’ve picked up weight… it might be the cake! I’m so grateful to everyone for making this a fun, happy place to stay.“
