4worldlovers: What started out as a small collection of ponies in 2001, has grown into a family of equine and human (and feline) members.

Ranger Stables is a community-based Equestrian Center situated at REEA, the Rand Epileptic Employment Agency in Craighall Park.

Established over 2 decades ago, with just two horses, today Rangers proudly houses 24 horses and ponies, some of whom are rescues from dire circumstances that we have managed to rehabilitate and teach how to trust again. Some have taken years to recover, and with rescuing, the road is often sad and painful for both horse and human, but each time we are able to give them a happy home, unconditional love and show them there is goodness in the world.

The Rangers’ equestrian activities include instruction, outrides, competitions, pony parties, pony rides, disabled riding and providing assistance at events as such market days and school fairs.

4worldlovers: We strive to give riders top quality coaching by guiding each individual with the correct building blocks which enables them to excel in any discipline they take preference to on and off the competitive scenes.

Horse riding is all about having fun with your equine partner & friends. At our equestrian facility we ensure that each week is a different topic from the previous to enrich our riders with as much knowledge as possible.

We offer horse riding lessons from the age of 3 and up, adults included and all levels of experience. We have 30 minute private lessons as well as 1 hour group lessons. We asses each new rider and coach them according to their experience, comfort zones & goals they have set out.

EL Dorado Stables offers Full & Half baiting. Full baiting is the same as owning the horse or pony without actually buying one! This gives you, and only you full access to your desired mount. Half baiting a horse or pony allows you 3 rides per week, of which one of those days must fall on your lesson days. You are required to have at least 1 lesson per week to ensure valuable coaching & advice is received.

Top quality care is our guarantee. Our staff are friendly and horses are cared for individually. We provide horses with individual paddocks as well as a herd paddock, and it is the owners’ choice where they would like their equine partners to be. Horses are out all day, grooming is done twice a day, and we feed 3 meals per day or depending on each horses’ requirements.

Just some pictures from the show of our riders. All 4 of them got clear rounds. For 2 of our riders it was their first away show and it was also one of our horses first times away from the yard!
